Thursday January 17th (aka Tax Prep Time)

We had a good snow here last night and all day today. They even called it a blizzard and told people not to go out. Internet and TV have been spotty which makes being a porn queen difficult at times. So we didn't. The Husband and I both caught colds when we were out on Monday. He is still sound asleep while I have been up for hours. His coughing has kept me up.

I have started working on taking my language tests, but have run into a brick wall -- my ID! My passport is in my maiden name, naturally, as that was the name I had back in the US: Well, my residence permit is also in that name. Everything else, but everything, is in my married name, which according to the government is my official name. So now, I have to try to get my passport renewed and updated. It also means we have to go to Helsinki. I have to get it done. The police here will only issue ID cards in the name on my passport. Even though I have a marriage certificate that says otherwise. So, we will start in Helsinki...

I now have a nice fire going in the fireplace and I am going to go in there for a bit. Let's see how much I can do from my laptop! (Yes, I can cut thumbs!)
