Morning!

New PC is basically up & running, and I say "basically" because apparently the millenials that design PCs these days don't see a need for a CD drive to install programs I really do The license I bought for WS_FTP back in 2004 has apparently been used on 1 too many machines Microsoft said I could sign in using my Skype info, so now my name is Greenguy Greenguy & even though my email address matches the one in Skype, they say it's attached to a different MS account...and apparently every other fucking email address I have is associated with an account They also think I can read whatever language this is:



Still need to tweak a lot of shit, like the default programs that Windows tried to force us to use (I don't want pics to open in MS Paint ). I went to download iTunes & I see MS has an app version of that now & I can only imagine what a fucking nightmare that thing is based on how they butchered Skype (RIP). Thankfully Apple still offers their version.

Almost forgot: The batteries in my vape were dead last night, so I popped them out & put new ones in from the charger like I do about once a day and the fucking thing started smoking & getting really fucking hot, so I popped the batteries back out & there's a black burn mark on the side of one of them. Tried to put the other 2 back in once they charged a little & of course the vape is fucked because

Afternoon.

Internet, cable and phone just came back after a 22 hour interruption. Oh the agony! Toronto had 26cm (10in) of snow in 24 hours which is apparently a record. It's snowed more but over a longer period of time. Needless to say, I've been shoveling all morning and a little tired.

I am off soon to a doctor's appointment so I can have my blood pressure prescription renewed and then it's back home likely for a little nap. Where does the day go!

BTW, Filezilla is a good free FTP program if you can't get the other one working.

Good Morning

Still feeling a bit under so it's just biz stuff and I see a nap coming soon. Do have to go outside and do some stuff as we are expecting rain Thursday and I'm worried I will feel worse tomorrow as that is the way it's going.

Microsoft is more of a than I am. When this new PC 1st booted, it asked me to sign in with my email or Skype as the username. My email could be 1 of 5, but I knew my Skype un/pw, so I used that & what a fucking mess followed. From what I can tell, when they took over Skype, they created Microsoft accounts for all existing Skype users, even if they already had a Microsoft account. So now I have my old one that has all my correct info except my Skype username is "live:blamo_13" & I have the one from Skype that I never filled out completely where my name is "Greenguy Greenguy". Then they asked me to add my email address to the Skype account. I looked real quick & it's my Gmail, so I put that in there & it kicks me back saying that email address is already associated with with a Microsoft account. I go thru the rest of my emails & same thing. I got fed up & just put a made up email address in there & now that's my Skype email & in order to change it, I 1st need to click the verification link the sent to the made up email address

BTW: Simple solution from the get-go would've been to merge them in the 1st place, right?

You can setup an offline account (i.e. no email) but they are clever and try and get you to have an MS account. Bastards.
