See, you would think it would be that easy, but it isn't. The websites for the airports all say they do just that, and I can even request it when I make the reservations (just like chosing a meal or seat) but in reality, you can't. The airport points you to the airline who takes care of that. In this case, Finnair is operating the fight for British Airways. The lady at BA said I had to talk to Finnair about it because technically, it is their flight. Finnair said it isn't their flight - it is British Airways' responsibility. Here's where it gets crazy. I could have booked that same exact flight from Finnair at 3 times the price. But instead, I booked through BA. So much for economy. We can't even be sure we are going to be able to sit together -- I can't choose my seats for the very same reason. It sucks, and it is more than stupid.
