If they had not been hiding behind a uniform and a badge and done the same thing to any citizen (elderly or not), they would be in jail. But, because of the police unions and various agreements all over, the police do as they wish and know that they will very rarely pay the price. It has been this way for way too many years. They know they can lie on the reports and generally be believed. That might have worked 50 years ago before body cams and cell phones, but how can you blatantly lie on an official report and expect to be believed? You wonder why the people have no respect for their law enforcement? It has to change.
