Morning.

In Toronto people are shooting off fireworks whenever they want and it's freaking out my dog. They are only supposed to shoot them off on Victoria Day (May 24) and Canada Day (July 1) but who follows the rules? Fucking fucktards! So I am off to vet with her today to get some meds.

Other than that, it's a lunch meeting on Zoom today and then I'll be at my desk.

Visit to my mom with my aunt was fun yesterday. My aunt, who's 73, told me that her friend is turning 88 tomorrow, so a bunch of her friends are taking her out drinking at the local bowling alley on Friday

The Bills got a new pyrotechnics company & they were testing fireworks last night, scaring the shit out of my poor dumb Kylo. I say "dumb" because 1st he barks at the noise, then runs & hides

doesn't give a shit about fireworks, but my previous one was terrified of them. It took me about 8 years to learn her not to be afraid (while we were indoors). She got 9y old ...

Gorgeous day out there.

I feel great today and I think it's because not only did I sleep well, but I took an afternoon nap yesterday. This might become a habit if I can manage it. I've read good things about afternoon naps and how they make you more productive. I believe this requires further investigation.

We might actually go to a restaurant for dinner tomorrow. First time since last summer which seems crazy. Have a great day out there!

The dangerously hot weather has hit Europe hard. I say it that way because most of us do not have adequate cooling like air conditioning. Most of the time we don't need it. We will be hovering close to 30C (85F) for the next 10 days or so. I know it doesn't sound hot, but we have a good 20 hours of sunlight right now. Many of the homes for the elderly don't have anything but fans, so I really feel for them.

I think I have the new computer at 99% of what I want, and I am loving it. It is strange being on a laptop as my primary computer, but they simply did not have what I needed in desktops unless we forked out about twice what we paid for this one. So, it is back to slinging the porn for me with no more computer issues. Feels great.
