what do you think would happen to a site which offer a $50 monthly membership for an all you can live chat site? If they are willing to pay $3 per min, might they pay $50 a month?

Are you talking about live chat or web cams? Surfers find live chat for free all over the place. But a webcam site is another matter. $50/would end up being cheap. But...probably people that hook up to watch a webcam don't think they are going to spend as much as they do. So that is more of a physiological thing, I think.

I think if you look at some of the current models for live cam chat sites (that have many, many performers ) that are out there, the per minute option is the way to go

Well, the pay per minute model is of course the best way to make money, however; the surfer who already has spent a lot of money on a pay per minute live cam chat, may be willing to fork out $50 or even $100 per month for "all you can eat" live cam.
I think the psychological factor in pay per minute apply to the newbie or occasional porn surfer.
Those who are willing to fork out cash for porn on a regular basis "should" like an all you can chat model.
They key would be to find 5 to 10 cam people so that you have a 24/7 presence and also willing to work on a different pay scale

It might not hurt to have it as a second option, but will you make more money off of it, or will the profits decrease because those that spend more than $50 on a monthly basis are paying a flat fee now?

I'm not sure you would get many people who have yet to spend that much sign up for the flat fee...but it might be worth testing out and see how it works.

Just my thoughts off-hand.. If it were me making this decision, I'd give it a shot for a month or two and see how it works out and make a final decision from the results.
