You know what really baffles me? The dates they pick for these games. Detroit wins their series on Tuesday June 1st & the lakers won theirs before that. So why wait til Sunday the 6th to start the series? Why not have Game 1 on Friday the 4th when there's alot of people out drinking in bars & whatnot?

Same thing the next week - they played Tues, Thurs & Sunday!

Why only have 1 game on the weekend & why have it onSunday night, when the average fan probably won't enjoy the game with a few cocktails due to having to work in the morning?

If they'd have shceduled:
Friday the 4th
Sunday the 6th
Wednesday the 9th
Friday the 11th
Sunday the 13th
Wednesday the 16th
Friday the 18th
I think more people would have watched it. The NBA Playoff's suck ass!

Yes the way the NBA schedules things is terrible. Last night was the only game I watched start to finish and it was only because a friend called and invited himself over for the game. LOL

I don't really like either team so I wasn't all that excited about watching the series.

Stern has said game schedules will be a lot tighter next year. The Pacers getting 12 days off after the first round was way too much.

As for the finals, I despise the 2-3-2 format, needs to be 2-2-1-1-1 but honestly I think the Finals is the only date they actually lock in advance.

Watching the regular season games they always said "NBA Finals June 6" but the first round was always TBA.

Either way, I hear ratings were kick ass, and I saw last night the the Pacer/Pistons game 6 was a all time high for anything on ESPN.

I'm not a huge bball fan but I watched all 4 games and loved it. I don't like the city of Detroit and in fact it's the only place I've traveled where the locals didn't seem to enjoy thier town. Detroit was such an under dog that I wanted to see them kick ass. I always root for the under dog and this time the under dog DOMINATED in a big way.

My heart goes out to Malone becasue I would like to see him win one but he'll still be hall of fame.

While I do enjoy watching the talent of Shaq and Kobe it was nice to see an entire team and coaching plan work to shut them down.

Hat's off to Detroit!

They don't want people out in bars or at parties watching 1 tv... they want us all sitting at home so that they higher ratings and can raise the ad prices next year.

Fuck Them! I'd have watched it if it was on Friday or Saturday

Hockey is pretty good - with our cable company getting the feeds from Canada & NYC, you can pretty much find a game on the weekends. Football is great, becayse it's football - LOL - no, it's great because I can sit in front of the TV on Sunday's from 11:00 AM until at least midnight.

Baseball should consider doing what football does - have a 1, 4, 7 & 10 game on Saturday's & maybe Sunday's - ESPN2 would be perfect for this.

ALL I WANT TO DO IS DRINK BEER & WATCH SPORTS GOD DAMN IT!!!
