What do newbies want to know about sponsors?

I'm about to go through all the sponsors I signed up with during a 'sponsor sign-up marathon' and figure out how to best promote them with what they offer.

Since I need to so this I figured I'd take some notes of each sponsor and put together a list with my webmaster referral ID, of course.

Aside from the basics like this board has sponsors listed here which is where I joined all my sponsors from (you're welcome guys) I'd like to put down more subjective information like whether the webmaster programs interface is easy to use, all of the various features they offer to help sell them, whether they have a message board or not, how much free content they have, the quality of the free content, how long the sponsor has been in business,....

Basically, a little review of Sponsor features and an adult webmaster primer is what I have in mind.

Can anyone think of interesting/useful points of interest when making my notes?

PS- I continue to sign up with sponsors that look OK via the GG&J newsletters. I wonder how many hours per day it takes GreenGuy to get green rolling around in his money?

Are you actually sending any traffic to all the sponsor you're signing up for?

Nope. That's why I need to go through them. So, initially, I couldn't provide any conversion rates if that is what you are asking.

The way my current site is set up I can only promote so many sponsors.

This is why I'm getting an additional hosting plan with the money I made from my 1 site so that I can dig in and start making free sites and listing every gallery possible from every sponsor.

Many sponsors may overlap in categories, and regardless of what plan I get there's only so much HD space. That's why I need to go out there and evaluate each sponsor.

Hosted galleries both pics and videos are the bomb. Daily rotating galleries (or at least random galleries) are even better for site stickiness.

I requested random or daily rotating galleries from Medium Pimpin and they are doing that and should be available soon.

My traffic is very low as it's a new site with zero links. I've built up a steady 20k visitors per month with a very high repeat rate though.

Steady tweaks to the user interface increased click throughs and sales.

The biggest change occurred when I ditched a banner ad and quickly made a Video Monitor graphic fairly large on the top of every page. Inside the Monitor graphic is a Netscape 7 print screen skewed to the angle of the monitor cropped and appended to the top. That shows my URL. Below that is inside the 'TV Monitor- A Pictures link and Movies link'

That takes people to all my AEBN galleries or a list of sponsors Daily rotating picture galleries.

Regardless of how good I thought my menu was, I realized i needed to steer what little traffic I had to the areas that would tend to make them happiest and give me the best chance of making sales.

I knew I had to make that big basic sign of "Pictures / Videos" to maximize what little traffic I get. I glanced an excellent book I've recommended here before called 'Don't Make Me Think!' which is a quick, easy book to read specifically for E-commerce sites.

My menu was an improvement upon the text links I had prior, but still...people had to look, mouse over and see a sub menu then process that information.

We all know people want QUICK access to Pictures or Movies. So, I slapped that graphic together. It's big. It's on top of every page on purpose

450x398 on purpose.

I added the graphic beginning of last month. AEBN sales up 200% of previous month's best (400% over May) and to my surprise I'm getting pay-site sign ups now. Traffic was slightly down this month too.

It's spread out among multiple sponsors, but it's trickling in.

I only checked nscash, silvercash, extremepaychecks but click through and sales are up.

I'm honestly quite happy nobody exchanged links with me- not that I tried hard.

I had to really maximize what little traffic I got. Had I gotten a few traffic pumps, I'm not sure I'd continue to tweak the site as best as it could be tweaked. There's still tweaking to do for sure...but it's time to make some typical free sites.

I have no reciprocal links and my index page is now PR5.

My site is among the finalists in http://www.bestadultawards.com/ out of all free sites submitted.

For a 4 mos old domain and my 1st adult site that doesn't suck too bad.

While I coulda done more profitable sites my initial site was a test for other projects down the road.

well, im not gonna read all of that, but it sounds like you want people to give you information for reviews that you'd use to try to get ppl to sign up under you for the programs

Nope. Don't need anyone to give me anything. Since I have to look over all the sponsors it will be my personal opinions on Sponsor features/programs.

It should be a neat thing for people fairly new.

Early on I saw a freesite with a 'webmaster' link and wondered what it was. It was a list of sponsors with basic info. Sure, there was his code, but it worked and I joined up.

Was wondering if there were any good things to add to the list I may not have thought about.

For example, would it be helpful to know what categories sponsors would be good for promoting? Softcore, hardcore, glamour, cum shots, big tits, etc.......

How often the sponsor updates hosted galleries?

What about listing payout details and whether they use CCbill, iBill or their own program?

Stuff like that.
