PR and links to PR0 sites

There's something I've been trying to get my brain around, and hopefully someone here can help me out. I've always been told that the Big G will penalize you for link trading with PR Zero sites, but if that's the case how can so many big link lists (who link to a lot of affiliates and a ton of PR Zero free sites) have good PR?

That's because the person that told you that was FULL OF SHIT! Linking to a PR zero will not do you harm..

Thanks Danger Dave! That seemed like the obvious answer, but all I've gotten when asking the question in the past has been speculation. Add to that the fact that most are mystified by all things google and, well....

Anyway, I feel much better about the future of the new LL |rasta|

I've been reading lots of qualified articles about PR and how it works ... you'll never be penalised or anything bad can happen to your site by linking to PR0 sites.
