Text links ... same window or new window ?

Hi again!

I just put up my first adult site. Atm, I have only text links over there. I was wondering, from a sales ratios point of view, whats the best option to go for ...

I'm planing to have SE traffic to my site and if anyone has any ideas about how links to sponsor paysites that open in the same window or links that open in a new window affect sales, please post your thoughts here.

Any inputs are much appreciated!

Thank you!

It all depends on where you're submitting your site to - for example, I do not allow links to be opening ion new windows on the sites that you submit to me.

I do doubt it has any benefit or harm as far as SE's go.

Thanks for the reply Greenguy.

Anyway ... I was reffering to a whole domain which main source of traffic would be SEs. So ... lets say I have a page where I put about 10 links to different sponsor paysites and I use target="_blank" for each one. I've been talking with some guys but they weren't able to prove any positive / negative fact of using target="_blank".

Some said that if you use it ... surfers will tend to click more than 1 link and they'll see enough free content ( pictures, trailers etc. ) and they wont buy.

Some said that a surfer click 1st link and he doesn't like what he se, he may click the second link and if he finds what he likes he may buy a membership.

More feedback welcome

If you look over at my LL you will see a little script that I put on my pages that gives the surfer a choice of same window or new window, choice is good.

Thanks for the post Cleo!
I must agree its better to give the surfer the possibility to choose and probably this is what I'm goind to do. Well, I think your "little" script is a JS one but I don't know how to handle JS atm so I'll have to learn or find one already made
