Any objections to using "Includes" codes/files??

This is a question mainly for LL & TGP owners/approvers.. in an effort to expedite our building process, we were wondering if we'd be able to use "Includes" code as part of the process for gallery/free site building.

Kind of like cut & Paste function without acutally cutting and pasting.

Any thoughts??

Many tgps have .shtml banned by default - but if you add the following to your htaccess noone will ever know

AddHandler server-parsed .html

The slight downside is that the server will now parse (look for includes) on every single page it serves - but your server should be able to handle this without trying too hard.

I use them and haven't had any problems....just as long as your content doesn't change and your site still works with their rules I can't imagine any LLs giving you grief over it.

The biggest thing you should watch out for is your ads if you plan on using includes to display them...make sure the warning page ones don't say Enter and possibly don't have hardcore either if it's against any of the LL rules that you use. LL owners tend to flip if they approve a site that later on changes and uses something that violates their rules...they may consider you a cheater....so you'll have to tread carefully and double check every ad that you add into the include rotation.

For the advice on both.

Its not that we will be rotating, just want to have tables set up so we can make the build process quicker. Like the receipt tables etc.

It takes me mondo time to 'fix' the recipt tables since quite a few are now doing (and rightly so) targeted traffic to their catagory.

This way i can have an includes=voyeur and all the voyeur receipts go in.. etc.

Since most of my stuff is for single amateur sites, the ads rarely, if ever change.
