need again advice........and dont nag

Please be wary when downloading the Service Pack 2 for XP. I did mine a couple of weeks ago and it crashed my puter and wouldn't come back. Took a reinstall (actually it took 2 reinstalls), a severe tantrum and half a nervous breakdown before it was all working properly again.

Apparently there are some "issues" with some computers and not with others. Unfortunately mine was one with such an issue. Something to do with a conflict with the motherboard I've got which in itself is odd as I have a ms approved motherboard???

I got everything back but the time lost is a major pain in the backside. If you are going to do it make sure you've got your important stuff backed up or it might end in tears.

It's a bit like being at the casino you might win you might lose
