Linklists and how they deal with older sites

in searching around about resubmitting sites, i found this post from last year.

at the time i'd only been doing FS about 3 months and resubmitting wasn't even on my radar.. but now 15 months later it is.

i have some questions:

GG: on the link you posted about about removal...

Old sites - any site that is not updated within the last 6 months will be removed. This does NOT mean that sites are dropped after 6 months, just that sites that are not maintained are deleted. We do have a way to check this, so make sure you are at least updating the page you submitted every now & then (HINT - also make sure the date/time on your computer & your server are correct) These sites are not put on the shitlist.

Can you (or one of your underpaid minions) explain what is meant by updating the page?? That i should switch out the pics? or freshen up the sponsors/text etc.. and then resubmit??

I was on the sit and spin wagon: build, submit, forget. but my stats are full of traffic from sites i built a year ago and i'd love to reuse them as most of the content is unique.

Any LL owners/submitters have thoughts, ideas etc on this??
