Anyone promoting partnerclicks?

Anyone promoting partnerclicks ever get a chargeback?

My wife promotes them and she just got her first chargeback.. she has to pay $11.47!!!

Is there something we are missing here.. a sponsor that is charging his affiliates for chargebacks? WTF!!!???

Are they willing to lose affiliates over $11.47?

An email reply from them says that the $11.47 will be deducted from her next payout.. ok time to pull all the galleries and remove all links!

Funny though whoever is replying to the email doesnt give a name, so I can't mention it here.

All I know is my wife got a chargeback and now she has to pay.. is a sale actually paid out before its cleared.. I have never heard of that before??? Whatever the case may be, partnerclicks has lost an affiliate thats for sure.

I've had that happen to me before with a different sponsor, although rarely, normally I make good money with them.

IMO - Chargebacks are almost 100% the fault of the sponsor and should be 'eaten' by them... unless specifically stated at signup time..

I simply dont use sponsors that punish you for CBs

If a sponsor writes to you without being willing to put a name to the email I wouldn't trust them in any case.

A few have done it to me and I personally think it says a LOT about them.

And even if it isn't the company owner, it will be an employee who does not want their personal name associated with the business practices imho.

and a quick look at their posted terms of service does not mention that you are required to pay any additional fines or fees for chargebacks.. Looks like you only agreed to not be paid for the sales that charged back later to me.

NOT TRUE, how can it be a fault of the sponsor? Chargeback is not a way the member shows he is not satisfied. If he dont like the content, etc he get a refund. You can make a CHB when somebody steals your cc number and use it for online sales, etc. Its not the fault of the sponsor and not the fault of the webmaster(well, sometimes yes = fraudelent ways to generate sales), so to share them is pretty fair. Why should you get 50% of all income and dont pay for the refunds and CHB? Partnership is partnership.

Are you willing to pull all links and stop promoting a sponsor for $11.47?

OK lets get the basics straight first... if we are talking 50-60% partnership - then yes CBs should be shared..

PPs makes it a whole differnet story..

As stated it was an opinion.. and I stand by that opinion... Of course stolen credit cards and Wm fraud can make up a percentage but the mojority of pay site CBs ARE disatisfied members.
