I may have been wrong in thinking it was a personal attack, but we still are not sure, the only connection the owner of camsguys.com and I have is the same host but we DO NOT have the same registrant.

The 2nd stolen domain is also at.... godaddy.

My Lawyer has already talked to the rightful owner of camsguys.com and was waiting for a return call from godaddy

And in all honestly, I am much relived that this may not be who and what I was thinking. (But it’s not 100% ruled out)

I'll say more when I can, but in the mean time BEWARE.
This really sucks! |pissed| Keep us informed as to what happens.

Was the email address you used for your domain and the email address used by camguys.com on servers managed by the same host?

Were both domains hosted on the same box?

No, we was on seperate servers, I've talked to our host and in no way do we have anything relating us to camsguys, other than the same asshole ripped us off and the same host.

Kinda make you wonder how many this guy has done this to, and it's just so happens we found out about 2.

okay.

But the email address that the domain was registered under. Was the host providing mail services for it?

In the case of the camsguys domain he did receive 2 notes asking to confirm the transfer and denied them both. Then for some reason the domain was transferred. In this case there was no one and he says not even his partner that knew the password to the domain storage. In this case GoDaddy told him flat out that he was screwed. They did not even want to deal with it.

In the case of camsguys that site is up and is hosted somewhere.

I now believe that godaddy has no interest in solving this issue. They are extremely arrogant and uncooperative. That is probably why the asshole is using them.

With two e-mails turning this down you would think that there would have been something they would do.

Bad situation. No one is safe with this kind of attitude

Ok, now the question of WHY really start’s being asked.

What I did not mention last night was I got this email from “Maurice”

********Hi!
I'd like to return your domain: katvixen.com
Would you consider to buy it?
Thanks.
********

I sure as hell am not going to pay for what is mine so some thief can make a profit, so I did not respond.

Than we found out about camsguys.com being stolen so that really threw a wrench in our way of thinking of who/why/how.

Than late last night I got another email

******Hi!
Its my final notice: if you want your domain back, i'll give it to ya.
Just register at godaddy.com send me your login and password and i'll push it to you.
*******

So this morning after I talked to my Lawyer, we decided to risk it since godaddy did not ask me for anything other than name, address, email.

And not 30 mins after I sent the email off I got my 3rd email

*****Hi!
You should receive an email from Godaddy with instructions how to get your domain.
Thanks.
*****

I verified it and changed the password to the godaddy admin and am now once more the owner of KatVixen.com

We are waiting for the DNS to change so please do not change any links, more than likely I will be have a redirect (as I already had) from katvixen.net to katvixen.com.

The password in question was one of the first passwords I ever used when I got online, it was my “main” password for a while, but over the years I changed it to all the “important” stuff that dealt with money and so on. Once more I repeat, I never dreamed something like this could have happen.

(FYI if you don’t consider your domain admin important as I didn’t you might want to reconsider that)

When I said I shared it with another, it was not shared as in “this is my pass to the domain admin” it was shared as a password on 4 differnt “low level” admins, so at the time, our thought was that this person saw I used it 4 times and thought “maybe he used it a 5th time”

We are relived with out a doubt; a huge weight has been lifted.

But please make no mistake, I am still after this guy, he has done it 2 times that we know of, and I will do what I can to see that he pays for his crimes.

So Maurice, if you’re reading this, keep looking over your shoulder buddy, it’s only a matter of time.

Glad to see you got it back...

Hope you pick a better password than the one someone I helped today had used.

His password for his domains *WAS* "password"

I wonder how many other domains are protected by that word?

Torn now that you have a Godaddy account and the domain is there, lock the domain. It's free, just look for the option in your godaddy control panel.

Just got off the phone with Godaddy (had to call back, since I was "transferred" to a supervisor and somehow the phone went dead, which oddly enough, happen to my lawyer at least 4 times last week)

Now they are saying it's not godaddy's rule but it's ICANN's rule for 60 days....

So who knows… All I know is my domain is still NOT where I want it, but it’s working so all is not as bad as it could be.
