The fact of the matter is not whether John is a good guy or not.
So you don't have to read everything to understand what is going on, and why people are saying the things they are, I'll summerize for you...
What happened is that one of John's employees made a post here, but did not follow the rules of the board, so his post got moved to a more appropriate forum. He wasn't happy about it, he began to complain and basically said that Greenguy and Jim should bend the rules for his company since they used to be paid advertisers here. Greenguy and Jim didn't agree.
Rather than John standing up and admitting his employee was wrong, which would have probably made it the end of the entire incident, he instead chose to say that his employee had the right to say whatever he wanted to. From that point things started to go downhill.
I think a lot of people have said things out of frustration, that they probably don't mean, so I hope all of this can get worked out with everyone soon!
