So sad. He changed the world and died way too young.

I bought my first Mac after the 1984 commercial aired and I've been using one or more of them just about every day since then. Plus of course various other Apple products. While I never met the man, I do think he'd find some humor in my edited image below.
RIP Steve.

Young dude. Sucks for him that he died so early. Don't care much for Apple products.

I hope that when, someday, it's time for your own RIP thread, that no one will choose to use it to tell us what they did not like about you or your business.

Had an Apple, a Mac & a PC on my desk back in 1985! Replaces the Apple with an Amiga the next year!
Interesting to see that even Google has added a link to Apple/Steve Jobs on their main search page! |

I had one of the very first Macs, the Mac 128. It barely had enough ram to boot up until I graded to the 'Fat Mac', the Mac 512. All the apps including the OS was on a floppy. I later got a Lisa with a whopping 10 meg hard drive.

My first real computer was an Apple 2e. The first time I logged onto a BBS was on my Mac Classic. The first time I viewed a web page was on a Mac in my university's computer lab. I met my first (late) husband on a Mac. Weirdly, the week before Jobs died, I bought a Mac Book and returned to my roots.
Every single day, I listen to my iPod and I am pretty much legally married to my iPhone. Thank you Steve...as Kevin Smith said..for letting us live the Jetsons in our own lifetime. |

When I lived in the Philippines I owned a computer store (next to the US Air base of course) we sold software for Amiga, PC, C64 and Apple (pirate copies of course, it was asia ) we had a couple of apple II's and a II C for customers to make copies of the software (good times) While I love the amiga best, I still had an apple at home so I could play Ultima and wizardry . 2 great games. I miss those days of many computer choices.
I had a mac 650 centris in the 90's loved it too. Rock on steve!!! |

The story of Steve Jobs is truly interesting. If you've ever watched the movie "Pirates of Silicon Valley" than it shows how it all began. Really neat, or so I thought.
The tech will probably never see someone like him again. RIP |
