Sitting here, late morning, cane in hand, sipping the caffeine, wondering what to have for breakfast.

I'm also noting how damned active you people all are. Christ, work? Gym? Laundry? Just thinking about it makes me dizzy. I think I'll go lie down....

Walking keeps me active. I tend to do 8 to 10 miles a day on weekdays (mostly with the puppy). I'm told that with my level of health that should be impossible, it is only that I have done it for years and years that I can move so much. Otherwise I'd spend my days working on the computer, watching TV and reading, and the short walk to the corner store would be the most I could manage.

Of course if I had been a runner, or regular gym user, I could have done a lot more, but 8 to 10 miles a day is enough for me.

The proof of the pudding is on Mondays. I don't walk much over the weekend, and that first Monday walk really tires me out!
