So, I think it may be where you learn from and who you choose to listen to.

fair play. Just my logic. I think a determined surfer that doesn't want to pay isn't going to pay. So making it easy for the person that might pay to get the taste and click on to the paysite tour is a good plan. Plus it seems a lot of link lists might frown upon making things like enter buttons hard to find, etc. to get content. Whatever works though.

Fully agree with what you say. Was just stating how someone might start out building in that manner, I no longer follow that belief.
