It's a new alarm system start of the day. 20150811
Yesterday I spent over an hour trying to figure out why my Vette's inside lights would come on if I manually put them on but not if a door was opened. After much Googling I found out that they are controlled by two different fuses and I had blown one of them while changing the lightbulb in my rearview mirror. Why there would be two different fuses for the same lights is beyond me, but this is Chevy enginering so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Plus most of the fuses are marked with really obscure deceptions that make no sense as to their functions at all.
Yesterday my Simplisafe alarm system arrived. I used it to replace my ADT system. The monitoring is half the price that I was paying with ADT and has way more features. It's a self install, no wires, system. Took me less than an hour to install. Actually would have taken even less but it took my a bit to figure out that the extra siren's batteries had shipped dead. http://simplisafe.com/learn-more/146318/133515 Just signed up to play Laser Tag next week with a woman's group. Right after I signed up Christy signed up so I guess I'm going to get the chance to shoot my ex with a laser. Still dealing with the cold that I caught last weekend at the beach so may or may not make it to the gym after I finish my work depending on how I feel. |

Good afternoon,
Just finished demolishing a big brick wall. Now I got to finish some stuff around the house so some guys can hook the house up to the gas network. We're still using a dieseltank to heat our house and water. Time to get rid of that old stuff. Have a good one all! |

Morning!
This morning, I happily moved $400 of my eBay profits from my PayPal to my personal checking account This was quickly followed by me logging into one of my credit card accounts & seeing them ask me to verify my income before I could continue To me, this means another lowering of the old credit limit Watched the season finale of True Detective yesterday & all I can say is WOW!!! So far, each season has been a series of it's own (completely different cast/location/etc) and each one has been simply fucking GREAT! There's also a new mini-series starting Sunday on HBO called Show Me A Hero: Quote:
Working now, but that wall I seem to hit every day is in front of me. I do have some running around to do later, so I can foresee a nap in my immediate future Other than that... Happy Birthday Fonz! |

Good Morning
Just a bunch of work on the agenda and an errand to run, exciting stuff. After that last incident are you sure you want to trust being in loud dark places with her? |

I'm not going to stop attending my group's Meetups because of her. Anyway I'll be with a bunch of my friends that already think she is nuts.

Good morning. Watermarking and uploading some new content I bought yesterday. Usual day otherwise filled with work work work.
Booked a flight to Los Angeles this morning, going for a week Sept 3rd - 9th. Wife and daughter will be there 4th-7th, daughter has a dance thing on Saturday but I'm gonna stay a couple extra days to do some business. I finally used part of my airline flight points I've been building for a long time so the cost was only $150 for my ticket and we had 2 flight credits my wife and daughter used so also pretty cheap (now to find a place to stay, that may be costly lol) |

Can we go back to it being Monday please, I don't like today.
Got up, got in the shower. No hot water. I'm too old to start the day with a cold shower. The shock will probably kill me. Then the landlord's builder arrived. My relief at it not being the idiot evaporated when he said "Hello Paul" and I realised I knew him. He is a trained and qualified builder. But he is also an alcoholic and heroin addict (and occasional cannabis and acid user). When I knew him he never got to the end of a job. Started work, ripped down stuff, but when it got to rebuilding stuff he just got drunk or high or both and left the job undone. And this morning I listened to him knocking holes in the place where I live! This afternoon I had a hospital appointment. Rather important because I am (very) slowly doing the dieing thing, and the doctors are basically making the process as slow as possible. Cleared my day, went to the hospital, and got told "Sorry, we cancelled your appointment, didn't anyone tell you?" Got back home, and the idiot is at work on the garden again. To be fair on him he is thorough, he is ripping up everything and burning it. A sort of "scorched earth" policy. But who wants a big patch of mud as a back garden, and a small patch of mud as a front garden? Oh, and I got a headache! |
