LinkedIn Question
A long time back I joined LinkedIn because an Aunt who had left the country joined and I thought it was a way to keep contact. It wasn't (we used Facebook in the end) and I did nothing with the account. It has no activity except my joining and it has no information about me except that which I had to give to sign up. However, every now and then, I get an email from the system telling me that someone who I don't know, and who does not know me, has asked to be added to my contact list.
My question is this: Why do they bother? What is in it for them? They have no idea who I am, or anything about me, I am just a random name to them. So what is the advantage to them to get me to add them to my contact list? |
