Question to LL reviewers

If I was to make a hybrid site of vid and pics submitted to the relevant niche category what would the minimum level be?
Taking greenguys rules for example 20 pics or 120secs of vid would 10pics and 60 secs be good enough? Also would they have to be on separate gallery pages. Lastly would they have to be clearly marked as which they so surfers know before they click on it.
Cheers All

I haven't seen too many of those type of free sites - some will throw a movie on as a "bonus" to the pics - I'd make sure to follow one rule or the other (have 20 pics & 2 movies or 120 sec of movies & 4 pics or something like that)

I've been seeing quite of few of those hybrid sites lately. Usually, they have enough pics to qualify for listing just on that basis. I think the vids add a lot of sales appeal. If you've only got a couple of vids, don't submit it to the "movies" category. Otherwise, I think the hybrid sites are a good idea.

I don't get any movie sites submitted,

At the AOE show the internet of the future was discussed and 'interactive' was the word of the day, it got me wondering how ling before we are submitting sites with cam feeds - crazy I know just from what the speakers were saying this is a real likely hood. just my 2 cents worth

nochex, the problem is video feeds are an "end money" situation. Link sites won't list YOUR sponsor links, nor would they be likely to list YOUR free cam with upsells.

If you can get the free cam, I can too, and I can keep the upsells. There is no reason to have you stand in the middle of the sale and collect money.

I dont disagree with you, but as the internet evolves then the types of services and products consumers buy will also change.

I saw some amazing technologies - and they were just that - technologies - this can be used in any business not just adult.

The company I was promoting for example have zoom technology, nothing you about that though in the months to come it will be more realistic for WM's to make and distribute free sites with zoom - this gives the surfer a level on 'interaction'

Theres no way that in 2 / 3 years we will all still be building static free sites as there just wont be the demand people will want to put their machines and fast connections to good use

(I will get off my soap box now ;-) )

NoChex, I don't disagree with you, but the change you suggests pretty much puts the free site webmaster out of business. There is NO REASON for a link site to link to your sponsor codes when they can link to their own codes.

I already see some of this with people trying to put in "bonus video feeds" on their free sites, which open in new windows and such. They get declined 100% of the time without any thought.

If you are not adding value for the surfer (such as giving free pics, which makes your site have some value to list) then there is no reason to list it.

Convergence (video / internet / TV / movies) is something that has been talked about quite a bit since I started in this business, and every year it is "a couple of years away". Until the 20 million or so AOL subscribers get onto something faster than dialup, it will still be "a couple of years away" for most Internet users.

Sorry Alex, I dont see people adding live feeds as you have pointedout whats the benefit to the LL. Some thing will come out which falls in the middle of this weather it be cam, mobile phone etc

TV etc has been talked about and its coming - the BBC launch their first BB tv station for local regions this week - its just my view though the technology I have seen at WTM/AOE really has left me feeling that we will all have to adapt as WM's or the market will evolve and go right past us
