I didn’t realize how hard is to write a good sales text/gallery story until now.

I’m dead stock at this point and I really don’t want to copy someone else job or use sponsor provided text.
Is there any tutorial about adult writing? Or at least some hints or guidelines to improve the effectiveness of my text (sort of do and don’t of this art)?

my advice: read read read - so you will get an idea how others make it, think there isn't a tutorial about it that will help you much

and btw: talentless but well motivated is much better then talented and not motivated

Here's a good tip. Plan your "headline" so that it condenses your whole sales pitch into 3 to 6 words of focused meaning. For instance, instead of saying "Talentless but Well Motivated", say something like "Text Woes Plague Talentless but Motivated Webmaster".

Okay, that's seven words... ;-}

Ha ha ha, dude, sorry to yank your chain, website copy writing is actually a very interesting subject, about which surprisingly little has been written.

And one of the common things you will see written about it is start with a punchy, content and emotion rich headline that promises benefits or suggests an interesting story.

I learned this principal about 25 years ago and it's still as valid today - AIDA - which is:

Attention
Interest
Desire
Action

It's used in direct response copywriting which is really what web copy is.

Basically, your copy has to grab their attention, make them interested, then make them want whatever it is your selling, and then take action - usually that's to click on the link and take their hand off their dick and take out a credit card
