What aggregators an adult blog should use?

So, I'm starting to get enough entries in my little blog experiment that I figure it's time to post it to some aggregators.

Which are the best ones? Are there any that are for adult content?

Which ones _shouldn't_ an adult blog be subbed at?

I just use http://dougal.gunters.org/pingform.php to ping a bunch of them whenever I post a new entry.

Thanks Ann. Let me ask you, are there any of those services to ping that I _shouldn't_ check?

I don't want to start out offending people who don't want to see adult content.

I check all the boxes. I don't know if they actually list me, but I haven't had any complaints.

Well you know boys, a nuclear reactor is a lot like women. You just have to read the manual and press the right button

There are several that filter out adult content. Watch your ping responses. the denied or not found ones should be taken off your pinger.

I have a question about pingomatic, to anyone who could answer it...

You know how when you set up a ping, you get sent to a page with pinging results. on that page it says:

Hey! Bookmark this page and come back to it later to automatically re-ping.

It looks like all I have to do is reload the page from my bookmarks and it's pinging again. Is that right? Once you have filled out the pingomatic form all you have to do is reload the destination page after you've made a new entry or two?

Does everyone do that repinging after each entry, or do you wait until you have a couple new entries done before repinging?

Thanks Boogie. I realize you don't necessarily need to use pingomatic, having pinging built into your software, but do you happen to know the answer to my pingomatic question?

Huh, just hit 1k posts...

Hi neveremail, the term 'aggregators' comes from the more mainstream RSS tutorials and blogs, I guess they aren't called aggregators so much among adult blog writers.

But they are kind of like the linklists and TGPs of the blog universe. Except they use the new technology of RSS feeds to display and update their listings of recent blog postings.

You submit your blog to the aggregators by "pinging" them, and for a short while you are listed on their pages, and you get traffic from them. And some search engine spidering.

Cheers for the knowledge!
