Newbie looking for Insight

The long and short of it is that I'm looking to begin picking the brains of those individuals who have already been successfull in their own right.

In the past, I had worked to create an adult site that catered to the amateur market - yes another one! Needless to say, after months of fruitless efforts, I've decided to scrap it and create a new one based on a team approach. Now that I have additional partners and proper financing, I'm looking to speak with other indviduals who might be able to share a pear or two with me regarding the keys of a successful web-site. Not to mention I might even pick up a friend or two.

I have searched several of the boards available and it appears that this one has some of the more knowldgeable and friendly insiders, who appear willing to help out the new kids on the block.

In closing, my first question is about traffic. Does anybody have any ideas about where can I find & how I can attract affiliate members to send traffic to our new site(s)?

There are many ways to attract traffic. It depends on the type of site/s you have.

Before we go any further with your traffic question, is it safe to assume that "affiliate members" means you're looking for help in promoting a pay site?

Thanks for the kind welcome. Please let me know if you need more information...I'll try to keep it brief.

Well, our sites our strickly amateur which means real everyday woman - no models. And the content was filmed primarily in Tempe, AZ. Since we are near the university, we get a fair number of college chicks.

The first few sites are a a bit more specific such as co-eds, girls next door, teens and the like. The other sites are along the same lines, but have a bit of international flavor, since they were filmed in Costa Rica and other locations. In total, we are looking to offer more exclusive content (videos and stills) than most other sites. We will also be offering an adult superstore that offers extensive product lines of toys, gadgets, dvds, leather items to name a few.

You are correct in that we are looking ot drive traffic to a pay site. I gave a "brief" description on the other post. It's much easier to answer questions, so please shoot them my way and I promise to reply.

If it were a pay site I would set up an affiliate program if I didn’t have enough traffic. Then post to the board and buy ad space to make webmasters aware of your program. That would kick your program into high gear.

Thanks for your responses.

Do you have any suggestions as to what the going rate is for this type of traffic. I believe that we have excellent content, a unique product and we want to pay more than the norm both in terms of $$$ and other non-cash bonuses for spreading the word.

I'm sure that there is no set rule, however, I want people to know that we are honest, reliable and we generously compensate those send who us business.
