Yeah, I've seen a few of those, lately. People using the fear created by 2557 to make money. That is not a new business plan by any means. Fear is a great motivator

I remember a few years ago someone was selling a product that would actually encrypt the model's information into each .jpg image!

I didn't like this part:

The regulations specifically require that all 2257 records must be 'segregated from all other records, and shall not be contained within any other records.' if we were to add a Content Management feature to the product, our customers would be in immediate violation of section 75.2(e) of the regulations."

That is not correct. There is absolutely no reason the 2257 records and a content management system can not be integrated. You just need to keep the 2257 records separate.

So for example, you use the content management system to produce a site or pages or whatever, that system can update your 2257 records also through the interface. The data for the two systems remains seperate and you can have an interface for each, and one that is integrated.

Saying you can't do that because you'll put your users in non-compliance is piddly pooh.
