What use are FHGs without descriptions?

My only use of FHGs so far is to load them into a database to create what I call a directory. For that, I need a title, URL and description.

While some sponsors provide this, but many only have one description - which I can often massage to create a shorter title from.

What I don't understand is the number who only provide lists of URLs to their FHGs - or have that as an option. What do you do with just a list of URLs, possibly sorted by site?

I must be being naive, but I can't imagine what use it would be to send someone to a URL without establishing they'd be interested in it in the first place by telling them what it is.

While I'm on the subject ... some sponsors seem to have lists of descriptions for FHGs that are completely separate from URLs - is there really any value in using a description of a pigtailed teen lying on a bed peeling back her panties to send a surfer to an asian teen bending over a garden bench? (fabricated example)

I'm leaving my PC for a couple of days to go do some semi-manual labour. Maybe it will all be clearer when I return

It all makes sense when you realize that you could write your own descriptions. They paid to have them designed and compiled, plus they are hosting them. Would you like them to do your laundry too?

It is better from a search engine perspective to create your own unique title and description. Just being different from everyone else linking to that same FHG helps your SE rank, and if you work in keywords that match the focus of your site that's even better.

For some webmasters who want to load 50,000 urls into a database in under 30 minutes and display on pages not meant to catch direct SE traffic, I suppose it wouldn't be a bad option to have. But, if the goal is building SE traffic on pages where the FHG links are displayed and/or establishing trust with your visitors by using descriptive text that exactly matches the content, or creating a subculture around your site by applying a quirky writing style...then titles like "redhead giving a blowjob" stop being all that useful.

Odd, because I can't imagine how anyone would send traffic to a site/page without at least reviewing it 1st

If you run a TGP, the least you can do is review the sites you're listing & write up your own descriptions.

Here's the problem

If a sponsor gives a description that is 8 words long it's too long for some and in come the complaing emails. If the description is 3 words long then more people complain what's the use of a 3 word description.

I run a text based tgp and I personally prefer to give my own descriptions. I know what I like to describe and sometimes you cannot trust what some sponsor is putting for a description. It takes longer of course but the description will fit my tgp and be more accurate.

We do make descriptions to all our gals, but I must admit that after makeing descriptions to 49 bigcock gals the 50 might look a bit like one of the others - it's a drag that some sponsors simply don't want to do.

We do it because some like it, but as Useless Warrior says, we buy content, make gals and host them - making your own description that fits your site shouldn't be much to ask and it would probably do you better in the long run.
For example I can't know if you want a desctiption of the content - Blonde teen giving old man blowjob - or something that might sell it better like "Hot young babe in extreme deep throat", so I simply make them as I feel like. (mush similar to what halfdeck says)

We offer them, but I would recommend you to write your own anyway.

Re-reading my question afresh, it is kinda stoopid in a general context ... of course I understand you can/should make your own descriptions, unique is good etc etc.

However, (while not the be all and end all) there are also genuine, useful, surfer, sponsor and SE friendly ways to present the contents of a sizable database of links. What I found incongruous was the number of sponsors promoting their FHGs with concepts like fast, bulk, automated, etc ... yet didn't inlude descriptions. I was therefore intrigued to find out if there were "fast, bulk, automated" tools out there that leverage these description-less lists that I wasn't aware of.

Unfortunately - you will probably have to go back and change the descriptions you get with most FHG's - most dont even come close to describing the pics or vids - and in about 50% of the cases the desc's arent even in the right niche.
It makes sense that you want to do everything automated - but selling to surfers requires a little manual work no matter how you look at it - there are services that write desc's for galleries for you - but its just a matter if you want to be able to understand the description or have some sentences written by people that dont use English as a first language
