Best ROI

What is the better ROI? Buying a gallery spot, a banner spot or a text link. Were talking of course on the same TGP.
I've noticed that banner spots are usally cheaper that gallery spots.

From my experience I have lost on most gallery spots we buy. Its the 10% or so that turn a profit that I keep buying and eventually make a profit from.

One thing to look out for is in 80% of cases a tgp will badly overstate their traffic and the quality of their traffic. Buyer beware.

I think you will find that generally banners dont perform as well as top spot galleries. Eg .. the hun sells banner spots a lot cheaper than actual gallery spots.

I have had some success with banners on certian tgps where you can fake the look of text or cam previews etc. Also banners on skim tgps will probably do a lot better than banners on non-skim tgps for obvious reasons.

Don't forget the "roll off" effect. If you are allowed to put return links to other TGPs, you can list your own TGPs as the return links... this allows you to bleed some more traffic off of galleries that otherwise you might not get.

It's all in how you play the cards...

I wonder if it's you own paysite if the banner on the Hun's worth it as far as branding goes? Getting the name of your site out there.

Damn straight it's worth it. I'd fly that flag anywhere I could.

Also banners are cheaper then gallery spots also because the banners are most likely rotating (on the hun I wouldn't be surprised if only 1 every 15-20 visitors saw your banner) while the galleries are always there. But hey, why not put the banners on the galleries I recon the reason the surfers are on that TGP are those galleries, not them banners.

I'd say if fleshlight was brand new, those banners would do pretty good. But from my experience "normal" paysite promo banners won't make a good ROI.
