I thought this was interesting to read being its from the other side of the cam.. Its from another forum I belong to where hosts post good and bad about the business. Most just cry bitch and moan how they are taken advantage of but this was interesting.

Having been a camho, worked for a cam company on the inside and on the wm/promotion end.. That is the general concensus of most cam girls regarding the "major" cam sites, acutally.

Girls on the camsites have very little clue what goes into producing the work.. the cost factor, the chargebacks etc. staffing 24/7 to keep the site live and the riff raff out.. Likewise camsite owners don't figure into the their matrix that independent girls (english speaking) bring in way more money than studio girls do..and that even if they have a 10:1 ratio (studio girls vs indie) they should push the indie girls more , float them on top of the live list etc.. and some webmasters, certainly not anyone here, .. they throw the word "free" around, mislead the surfer and leave the camgirls to deal with the angry new member who thought for a buck he was going to see unlimited tits and ass.

from a 'camgirl' view,*which is what Jug posted* nite flirt is a better site paywise as they pay a bigger % like 60 or 70 and they pay daily via epassport.

but for wm, Nite flirt sux, in my opinion, as a promotional program. but maybe that's why they pay their chathosts more..

LOL I will never end up with the cam girls. yes jim I own a cam site this is just small part of the nightmare I have to deal with. Well this post led me to read a few others who ended up bashing niteflirt. Most cam girls jump from one site to the next, in hopes of making that all mighty dollar. I dont blame them for that. But like Doc said they just dont have any clue of the other side of the business. My wife is curently making 3k or more on Live Jasmin. These girls just dont beleive its happening. When she tells them what they need to do, their comments are that they dont want to sit in free video in order to get a sale. My wife has worked on alot of sites, including mine and one I put up for her. We have never ever seen a site bring more visitors then LJ. These girls just think that if they have been in front of a cam for 2 months they know it all. It's just amazing. One thing we don't like that we are almost 99% sure is this whole charge back bullshit. I have gotten chargebacks on my ccbill account and have been told the reasons for it. But the sites never ever give the hosts a reason for the CB. They just take the money. Well it blew up in LJ face the last 2 months cause my wife has a couple of whales that she was charged back from. When she contacted them about it. They sent her their cc statements to prove they never did such things. Long story short when LJ was confronted about it, all that came from it was problems for my wife on the site. At this point 3k is not worth risking for the $30 CB. But some of these sites are stupid cause something like this will blow up in their faces one day. These girls all talk together about customers, sites and other hosts. If you offer a host X% then you should stick with those numbers, if you fucked up your calculations then shit on you. To take that from the hosts is stupid, you are only biting your nose to spite your face. Just a totally crazy business. lol. But it does make for interesting converstation at family reunions lol.

The post Jugg pasted here is from my camgirl forum, and a little poking around at IP addresses and so forth suggest it is legit.

This is actually a very common theme in general, everybody complains about the programs that fail to pay *them* -- which is different for each girl.

It's a bit like the way webmasters always think programs are shaving when their earnings are low. :-)

But a site that's good for me may be bad for you, and visa versa.

For imlive in particular -- yes the ever-lowering cut for the girls is causing talent to look for alternatives. But there are always new people coming into the scene so I don't see them running out hosts any time soon.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm not a full-time cam whore by any means, I probably do it less than 12 hours a week. It's a nice sideline for me, though, and I like that being on iFriends keeps me busy with their own traffic. (Although, my biggest spender is a member of my own site.)
