I dont think its so bad. More than likely he died of a drug overdose or some other kind of stupid shit. Most of those fuckers are wacked up on steroids, and deserve what they get. I get pretty touchy about this shit as I know Curt Henning (i.e. Mr. Perfect)from way back pretty well, some of the shit he has told me is unfuckin believable. These fuckers get big names and it all goes to thier head and they cant handle it. So the first thing they do is go out And start pumping this shit into themselves and expect that they will be invincible to that shit. FUCK'EM!!!! "Oh, I am so rich and famous and cant handle all the pressure" Maybe I am wrong but I will not be surprised one damn bit if his autopsy shows his death is drug related. If not, I apologize but I have listened to this shit to many times to get teary eyed about some fuckin celebrity who's life is so fuckin hard that they have to "Drown out the pain" by gettin high or some other fucking retarded thing. As someone who trained for 2 years to be a wrestler and who also knows a few wrestlers you proved yourself to be completely ignorant to wrestling, as proved by your comment "Wasn't all that good of a wrestler anyway". He had more talent then 95% of the guys in WWE and TNA right now.

I don't follow the pro wrestling game, so I don't really know anything about the man...or the bad things said in reference to him. But I'm thinking that if we leave this as a memorial thread to someone regarded well-enough to be mentioned on this board, we can always start a new thread about the abuses in pro wrestling. Better idea than bashing an individual here, in my opinion.

My best pro wrestler memory was, many years ago, Andre the Giant crushing flat the wicker chair he'd tried to sit on at a late-night club called The Casbah in Atlanta. Usually he'd have known better, but it was a very, very late night.

Torn, you are entitled to your opinion as I am to mine. However, I will stand behind what I have said regardless of what the popular opinion might be. I never stated that he did die of a overdose, I said "IF" and I believe I stated that it is sad for his family. As far as you training to be a wrestler for 2 years..superfantastic, my point being is that for those who bust ass for years and years,sleep in the back of thier cars,do house shows for 40 or 50 bucks a night are the ones I am speaking of. They finally make it to where most will never see and piss it all away. As far as me being ignorant to wrestling,wrestlings roots run pretty deep in MN, and I was lucky to have Gene Okerlund live about a block away in Cottage Grove, MN back in the day. He treated the kids in the area well and we got to meet some of the popular wrestlers of the time. I am just tired of these people being worshipped by our children and going out in such ways. They are supposed to be role models. Along with thier fame comes a responsibility to the general public.

I never claimed that I KNEW what killed him and as far as who the hell I am to to throw dirt on his memory, I am the guy that pays thier bills, I am the guy who buys thier t-shirts,joins thier fan clubs, drives two hours to see them wrestle and whose kids want to be just like them. These guys have a responsibility in that they are respected by millions of fans and the actions they take could shape the actions of those coming up behind them.

I never meant to make it sound like a personal attack on the guy or his family or even his skills as a wrestler, I dont think he was all that great, thats my opinion. Obviously there are those who differ in my thought and thats fine with me

I was simply trying to say that if drug or alcohol abuse was a part of his death, I dont have any compassion for him. Hey, how about this... we could act like this is a professional wrestling extravaganza. and call each other names while tearing up the scenery a bit. Maybe even make a real cage match out of it.

Of course those guys get paid to do it, plus some of them may be pumped up on something, or so I've heard here. So they would seem to have plenty of reasons to behave that way. I'm not sure any such reasons apply here though.

Man... I would hate to die and have someone post that it had happened, and the next thing you know someone is pissing all over the thread 'cause I was a porn merchant and they'd heard that lots of porn merchants aren't terribly good people, and some let money and power go to their heads, and many use drugs... oh man, it wouldn't be long before folks started to think all that stuff applied to me.
