sorry to hear that, Jim. From what I've seen and heard it takes most people 2 weeks to get over this one.

I've always wondered if there was a god. And now I know there is -- and it's me

I just got over this. Took me about two weeks. It is a killer. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids and I am going to stop acting like your mother now. Get well soon.

Lord help me, I'm just not that bright

I'm sure you've read this is a very bad strain of the flu. Get plenty of rest, and if your temp hovers over 102 don't hesitate to go to the doctor.

Get better, pal.
I had it 2 or 3 weeks ago & it knocked my on my ass for 2 or 3 days. I just love that the strand of the flu that's going around is not the one that the flu shot cures - even though the country is pretty much out of the flu shot anyway - LOL |

I am fighting it guys...
I am going to try to do some work today. The only part that sucks is I can't visit my mother for a little while. That isn't the only sucky part but that is the worst part. Too much to do this time of year. |

I have it too - going on the 4th day now. I hat 103.2 temp for a day but thankfully I am down around 100 now. You have my sympathy. I can't wait to eat something decent again.

No offence Apu, but when they were handing out religions you must have been out taking a whizz

Sorry to hear, Jim. Get well as fast as ya can!
Speaking of the flu... I have only once gotten a flu shot (bootcamp and I was dead ass tired and they snuck it past me) because growing up I was allergic to egg whites and the flu vaccine is cultured in an egg. And it seems that most of the time everyone I know who gets the shot ends up with the flu, while I sail by uninfected (knock on cyberwood). I've been worndering if the medical industry isn't causing more harm than good with coming up with a new vaccine each year. What I mean is every year they come up with a new one to combat the latest strain, and the next year it mutates again and they have to come up with another vaccine. I wonder if by coming up with new vaccines each year is in fact causing the mutations and increasing it's potency each time the flu mutates? Don't mind me, I'm just spreading unnecessary fear and paranoia.
