New sponsor Hosted Free Galleries/Sites

I'm a new sponsor, and one of my affilates asked me if I have any hosted free galleries to offer. I don't, I just have clips (and photos to go with) and photo sets (and thumbs) for TGPs. And banners. Is that not enough?

Does "hosted free" mean that the photos/videos are hosted on my server but the pages will be on the affilates server? Or does it mean that I create the whole shebang and host the pages on my site? The conclusion my small brain is drawing from this is for it to be hosted on my server and for the affilate to be able to use it I'd have to have some program that put the codes in for each affiliate, and I'm clueless how that is done. Would I have to hire someone to do that for me? Is it worth it? Forgive my ignorance, but really, I'd just like to find out if this is something I can do on my own or not, and to make that judgment for myself.

I'd be tickled to hear some opinions or tips or be pointed to the relevant threads. I did a search in the forums for this and came up with a thread that spoke of the wonders of FHS and I am looking to try it, but I still don't get how a sponsor would go about getting them set up.

There's no such thing as a "free hosted gallery" because if there was, we'd also have "free hosted free sites" (as well as "free hosted tour pages")

So, now that the terminology is straight, a hosted gallery is a gallery that you host (pics & page) that TGP owners link to with the rest of their galleries & they use their account code & get credit for any & all sales.

A Hosted Free Site is the same, just swap "free site" with "galleries" and "link list" with "tgp"
