I feel dumb asking this question (CCbill related)

I have several hundred programs merged under one affiliate number in my ccbill affiliate interface. That account number is 12345.

Now when I sign up for a program they give me a new account number-9999999.

When I send traffic to their site does it have to be
http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clic...25310-0000&PA=9999999&HTML=http://www.superamazingsite.com

Or can you put in your merged account number as the PA
http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clic...25310-0000&PA=12345&HTML=http://www.superdelicioussite.com

I'll be honest. It never occured to me to use that merged account number, but I saw a webmaster do it on a link list. That got me to thinking... is that what you're supposed to do??? That seems like it wouldn't work.

Better to be dumb now than a fool forever.

Use the link
Code:
http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clicks.cgi?CA=xxxxxx&PA=xxxxxxx&HTML=http://www.sponsorsite.com
CA = Affiliate ID
PA = Webmaster Account

Do not use the merge account number in your link(unless you are promoting them), always use the "Webmaster Account ID" to the site you are promoting.

You can see these ID in your CCBill account under "Tools".

We discovered recently that ccbill does not pass on a cookie if you use the merged account number, only the number issued by the individual site.

Use the account number that you get when you sign up to the new program - so in this example, 9999999 is the account number you use for the program you just signed up to.

so y don't ya just click the "non-encoded links" link sitting right above the encoded links.... note that once u do that, they stay un-encoded (its a part of preference settings). i don't see what's hard about that.

Yes, I know - oh saviour of NATS. Of course, most sponsors didn't offer us that option originally. We had to come to the boards and bitch about it. Problem wit dat?

Are you missing the the Shift keys on your keyboard or are you just lazy?

Have you been hanging out with my wife? She says the same thing and I noticed that she's been coming home from work awfully late.

No offense to rollergirl, but 99.44% of webmasters that use CCBill know how to code their links.

On the same note, .56% of webmasters know what the random letters mean in a NATS code

u of all people should know statistics are devisive and really don't amount to much of anything but a tool people use to make it "sound" like they know what they are talking about. a lot of webmasters who THINK they know how to code ccbill links often have it wrong (i know i did for a while and i'm quite obviously no noob).... with nats, there's no "building" a link and who cares what the nats random letters MEAN?? as long as they WORK.... and if u don't LIKE the code, see my post above... use the un-encoded links. man, y'all sound like girls cryin' about something sooooooo simple.

Q'on - you're the one that brought NATS into this thread, so let's not throw it back in my face when I make a joke about them.

rollergirl had a question that was very obvious to most webmasters & she got a reply.

Actually, the one webmaster who figured out the meaning on his own tore out both his eyes and jumped to his death from a bridge.
