Could y'all test a site for me please
We've got this site that works geo-targeted and I want to know if everything works ok.
Could you please go to http://www.thisislive.com , click around a little bit and tell me what language(s) you get standard, if you see any serious errors, etc. I'd really appreciate it if you could tell me where you're located and what language you're getting on that site. Thanks a lot in advance! |

It told me to .... "Betalen via telefoon of GSM"  .. though it picked the right country on the drop down menu... I am of course.. in AU DD |

I picked USA from the drop down and then clicked en on the right side bar and it came up in English..
Lost Vegas reporting in.. *psssst*..need any camhoes? |

I'm from Serbia and my default page was telling me to "Toevoegen aan favorieten"... not exactly sure which language is that.

Here in Dirty Undies, NY - it's defaulting to Belgie and the language is Dutch.
Maybe your geo-targetting knows where I'd rather be.

Came up as Belgie. When I switched to USA, the right sidebar switched and the rest of the site went blank.

Hey Fonz! When I went to the site it was in Belarus. I clicked USA from the drop down box and it switched quickly for me. Good luck

Using Safari under that OS made by that fruity computer company. Not sure what language this is but I'm pretty sure it isn't English but then again I haven't had my morning espresso yet. Default was Belgium, when I clicked UK I got English. Everything else I clicked from then on was in English.  |

South Florida, USA, using Safari and Firefox browsers on Mac OS X...
"Land:" says U.S.A. when I first get there, but on the right side "nl" is the selected language. The page seems to have a mix of language, mostly not English ("Toevoegen aan favorieten Er zijn 49 camgirls online!! Een vraag? Contacteer ons."), but the footer with copyright, 2257 info, etc. is in English. Same things when I clicked through to some cam pages and got the login page. Once I clicked "en" once for language everything was in English no matter what page I visited.

Calling from Montreal, Canada- Where we are often geo targeted to French language sites (and 800#'s)
Belgie is the default, with Toevoegen aan favorieten Header & footer are English, right column is a mix of English and something Netherlandian Windoze XP, IE 7 Nice looking site! |

There is an accept-language header in the http requests of browsers which gives their language preferences. You could also use that to set the preliminary pageview to more closely match the surfer.
http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec14.html Mine came up in Belgie, when I set it to United States, worked like a champ. Isn't i18n fun?

Ok, so far Mexico is the only country the geo target thing works like it should, seems we (me and the guys I work with) have got a lot of work to do.

i get this too Toevoegen aan favorieten think its dutch?? but it defaults to usa, but i have to re-select it then i get english
