Oh! I haven't changed since high school and suddenly I am uncool
|
![]() I want to make a few feeder sites to my main site and would like to pay someone to make them for me and make sure they are all connected. Basically I need help with traffic and I don't want banners, pop ups, etc.
Does anyone know who can help me? Linda

Rather than pay someone to make feeders, why don't you get some affiliates to promote you via ccbill?

![]() Actually I have been thinking of doing an affiliate program...just have not done so because I am not sure I understand it. I can set it up with CCBill and then where do I find those that wish to participate? And, more importantly, since I only charge $12.95 a month, would affiliates even bother?

You can find webmasters to join your affiliate program right here on the board, but your membership price is a problem.
I'm not sure that paying someone to build and submit feeder sites is going to be a cost effective means of getting traffic. You have very unique content so maybe you need to be charging a whole lot more money and have an affiliate program. |

When you say a "whole lot more money" regarding what I charge for my site, what do you mean by a whole lot more? I can't imagine people paying for any of this, so forgive me for being so naive and flat out amazed they pay $12.95 in the first place! I see so much free stuff out there, and yes I know that I have something unique, but I also see a lot of "me" out there from people reposting, and stealing, etc. etc. (whole different topic). This being the case, why does anybody pay for any content in the first place with newsgroups, free sites, amateur sites, etc? What is a fair price that would actually have people pay as a stand alone but also that affiliates would be happy with? Of course my current members would stay at the rate they pay now. I've had tons of members for over 5 years and they have never left....so they are the "golden" members. Thanks! Linda

cleo is right you have somethng that many of us would cut off various body parts to have - exlusive, unique, highly ultra niche content. People that have an interest in the content will pay a good deal more to access it.

In my opinion, you should be thinking about the following things:-
1) Making sure every jpeg of you has your url on it. That way, even if your pics end up on a newsgroup or yahoo group, you have a free advert as to where the pics came from and surfers interested in your niche will come over and take a look. 2) Your tour needs to shout about the specific niche more. Anyone who arrives at the first page should have "LARGE CLIT" in their face (bad choice of words) say it once, say it twice, drive the niche at them so it is obvious very quickly what makes your site different to any other site. The theme of the tour needs spelling out even before they see the sample pics. 3) Affiliates can easily be set up by CCBill, just ask them. Then get some promotional content for the affiliates who will then drive their traffic at your tour. You will need a few banners and a price that is similar to other sites which operate affiliate programs.
