1099 Fuck Ups To Watch Out For

Just a tip for all you US webmasters that have companies set up - double check the Recipient's Name & Recipient's ID Number on the 1099's that you are sent from your sponsors.

I have found 3 so far that have my personal name and/or social security number on them. I logged into the admin for each & the info in there has my company name & Federal ID Number.

I know that the problem is due to me changing my info over last year when I got my company name, but the bad thing is that when the IRS see's the 1099's from these 3 sponsors, they will put in that the income I recv'd was to ME and NOT my company

I just got done emailing each of the sponsors asking for corrected 1099's to me sent to me as well as the IRS - make sure you tell them to mail them to the IRS as well as that is the most important thing!
