Aw, Dad, you've done a lot of great things, but you're a very old man, and old people are useless

Adult blogs accepting "tip jar" donations via PayPal
In the past couple of days, I've seen a few adult blogs accepting donation payments via PayPal. I know no one is going to get rich through these donation links--but it's nice to see them (especially if the blogger is writing their ass off).
I thought PayPal declared that this was against their terms of service a few years ago, when they ceased all payments/processing for adult web sites and products (about the time they were getting acquired by eBay). I tried this back in 2005 and got a PayPal account locked (which sucks, BTW). Has PayPal relaxed their restrictions? Or are these blogs flying under the radar in regards to adult content and the terms of service? What other ways could a blog accept donations, if not through PayPal? |

Oh no, I'm sweating like Roger Ebert

I tried a mainstream donation only site a few years back. In the two years I ran the site, I recieved one donation.
As far as Paypal and adult I would figure that they are just running under the radar, which should be easy to do. |

Wheither you think you can or you think you can't, Your right.

From my understanding as long as it is not pure digital adult goods, or anything delivered digital, it's okay. Some time back, they talked about even fining those selling adult goods, but yet there are all kinds of adult hardgoods on Ebay with Paypal being the processor. Adult Dvd's for one example. Guess they must have been talking about digital products, probably the big thing being subscriptions to adult paysites.
Why not ask them? Use a free e-mail, see what they say. Can't hurt. Course you have some other way's you could be making money off your site, if you think about it.. Besides adult affiliate programs that is. I know I asked a while back about digital adult e-books, they said no. |

Cool...I sent them an email just to find out their stance. We'll see.
Officially, you can't pay for items in the eBay Mature Audiences category with PayPal: "PayPal may not be used to pay for any item listed in eBay’s Mature Audiences area." http://pages.ebay.com/help/find/adult.html |

Ya, in searching around Ebay, guess there is not much "porn" there. Thought I saw some hardcore movies, guess not, or was just some one trying to get by.
