Now there's a message meant to inspire every affiliate to choose the no console option. Or maybe it's going to be another pop-under along with that goddamn feeds one we already get when we make the mistake of viewing our TopBucks' stats. Please find more ways to disrespect me. I'm unworthy of professional honesty and treatment.

At TopBucks we always appreciate feedback whether positive or negative. We need to know how to make things better. In regards to the pop-under on TopBucks.com, yes it is annoying and we had that removed. We had that up there to promote our leased feeds that many of our webmasters and affiliate programs utilize. As for the consoles on our program. We have them, we will always have them and that's why we offer a non-console program as well as a handsome revshare option that has a no-console option. We can't make everyone happy and we try. So we had the one on TB removed and there isn't much of an option to remove the ones from our paysites. If you have any other feedback to give, we are open to hearing it. |

Do you folks realize that when webmasters see the console/no console options, we often assume that the consoles must be in-network consoles/last ditch efforts to make the sale? In other words, we quite fairly assume that you are popping those annoying buggers on your tours in order to make us money, not steal the sale away from us. I mean, why would we voluntarily send traffic to a site that is deliberately working against our own best interests? The sole reason for this confusion is that sponsors, such as TopBucks, never explain what the purpose of their consoles are.
By the way, I've complained about the feeds pop-under before and it was removed then too -- very briefly. It'll be back. Also, in my opinion, it's sleazy to advertise such a thing on a webmaster board. Why not whore for such things at the conventions when all the sponsor reps are chatting amongst themselves rather than networking with affiliate webmasters?

The pop-under won't be back and posting about an exit opening is only sleazy to you because you don't believe in how we do our exits. You in WNY too? The cold weather can make one grumpy. : ) |

Okay we'll stay off of GGJ with this stuff .... to remind you though there are many WMs on this board that promote us, including you. Also we have paid for advertising many times and you don't seem to have a problem with a company who does exits buying ads. |

But I'll be honest & say that odds are I would have bit my tongue if you were advertising, like I have in the past with Top Bucks. |

Not exactly. See, I did post my concern out in the open:
http://forum.topbucks.com/showthread.php?t=455 And I was told by Lee & everyone else that Top Buck would step up & do the right thing by letting all the webmasters know that 20 sites were closed without notice, moved to a new program & all the existing traffic was basically stolen by Yappo. I'm still waiting for that newsletter. That's why I no longer promote Top Bucks & have never sent a hit to Yapoo (well, one that I got credit for) Please feel free to comment on that one once you remove your foot from your mouth. |

Who the fuck are you to say that to anyone, especially while considering the SUBJECT OF THIS THREAD? You came here to advertise the fact that TopBucks steals sales from their affiliates via consoles and you're pulling the money over morals card on someone else. Amazing.

I'm grumpy because I'm tired of dealing with incompetent reps who can't see things from the point-of-view of the affiliate webmaster. FYI: With few exceptions, I've always been a revshare/no console guy.

Mark, I remember that situation vividly and clearly. I remember missing a department outing to handle that situation. And it was handled. You were credited fully, mistakes happen.
Warrior, I've ran revshare programs in the past, I know what companies to pick revshare with and the ones to run very far from. MeatCash - should always be on revshare (well until the content didn't update as much), Twistys, SCORECash, DukeDollars, BrutalBucks, VideoBox, I can go on and on. When we work with other companies we utilize the non-console links. If we as a company different offer the option of non-consoles I can see why you would have such strong feelings. But some WMs just want the extra money, so it's their choice. The exits don't really compete with them because they were leaving the site anyways. If the WM truly had issues with the exits they'd use non-console links, which most do. If you truly believe that I'm incompetent then I'm sorry you have the misfortune of never dealing with me. You'd probably find I'm quite competent and have established myself in this industry by the amount of knowledge and my ability to work with pretty much anyone and get the them what they need. |

Everything said above aside.
Is it just me or does selling your exit console's seem like shooting yourself in the foot. If you would rather sell your exit consoles to other webmasters/sponsors and not promote your own sites, What does this say about your programs. Its easier to sell ad spots than your own sites? Your a company and should be promoting only your company, right?

Kristin - Top Bucks has yet to send out an email/newsletter notifying webmasters that those sites were closed & that the links were redirected to a new program where no one got credit for the sales.
It's not about me & the few sales I may or may not have made. It's about every other Top Bucks webmaster that sent at least 1 hit to any of the 20 site since June 2007. The way those site were closed & no one was informed is the reason I will NEVER use Top Bucks again. After all, what's to stop you from closing another 20 sites, stealing all the traffic & not letting anyone know? |

The amount of joins that went to BestMovies daily was minimal. When we first did the switch we reviewed all of our top accounts that had joins. They were contacted ... again there were minimal joins.
I'm done discussing this issue because I prefer to not waste my time on people who will continually tell me they are done promoting TopBucks. I could spend that time making other deals or other WMs happy. |

Yeah, why try to smooth over an existing problem - that's brilliant customer support
And for the record, I'm not talking about Best Movies - it's the closing & stealing of traffic for the 20 "On Demand" sites that Top Bucks has still not informed it's webmasters about. |

Yes, I know about CS and I know about how keeping an existing customer works.
When I'm told "I will NEVER use Top Bucks again" how much more energy do I have to use? I've tried speaking to them on ICQ and thought it was resolved. I've explained it, the email was sent. I explained it to you that day like Lee and Jenn did as well. How much more time do you want to waste on this subject if you'll never promote us again? I tried to smooth things over with you Mark and thought I had. And stop saying there was never an email sent. It was sent stating this change would take place on March 31st and to change your links appropriately. You even apologized to me! "Date : 6/15/2007 Time : 5:21 PM To : Greenguy sounds good I gotta fly - dinner time - thanks for taking care of all this & sorry I'm such an ass" |

The March email said that BestMovies.com was closing. It said NOTHING about the 20 On Demand sites: On Demand Amateur Movies On Demand Anal Movies On Demand Big Cock Movies On Demand Big Tit Movies On Demand Blowjob Movies On Demand Broadband Movies On Demand Cum Shot Movies On Demand Ethnic Movies On Demand Fetish Movies On Demand Gang Bang Movies On Demand Gay Movies On Demand Her First Movies On Demand Interracial Movies On Demand Lesbian Movies On Demand Milf Movies On Demand Pornstar Movies On Demand Public Movies On Demand Reality Movies On Demand Shemale Movies On Demand Teen Movies To this day, my link codes for these sites still work: http://www.ondemandamateurmovies.com...opop=1&nopop=1 Of course, I get no credit for any sales generated by them because you STUPID FUCKING MORONS never correct a problem I found 20 months ago. So please, tell me again how this problem is resolved. How it's ok for Top Bucks to STEAL traffic. How webmasters were notified about 1 of 21 sites being closed. How do you live with yourself? |

I spoke to Mark off the boards and I did apologize for wanting to shut down the whole issue if they were WMs that didn't promote us.
That was a little harsh on my part and shouldn't have been said. I've worked with people who don't promote us and sometimes for good reason. I should have opened it up to more suggestions rather than shutting it down. If WMs don't promote us for a reason and I should have been more open to hearing what we could to prevent this or other WMs not wanting to promote us. As for the OnDemand links and shit. Yes, that was not included in the email and i apologize. this was done as the transitioned happened and there was a lack of communication on TB's side. as for the other newsletter getting sent out, we thought it did. I guess not and that's a separate issue we need to deal with here. I'm not evil, incompetent and I do care what the WMs think, so my apologies on that end. I hope this can be the end of it ... |
