I once saw an report on a TV show that stated that women who are into bondage (as a submissive, not a dominatrix) were, on average, of a higher intelligence than women who were not. I did not entirely trust the tests they had done to back this up, because they had originated with a group of women who were all openly submissive (a sort of "submissives pride" organisation).

However it could probably explain why the teenage girl I have captive in my cellar keeps beating me at chess.
