So I Go To Sign Up For A Program I Read About In AVN...

So I'm reading AVN on the shitter yesterday & I see an article about a new kind of tube site that has a premium area and an affiliate program. So I think why not - I'll give them a shot....

1st problem: Their only payout option is wires, which costs me $35 each time they come in. So I fill out the contact form & ask if they have any other payout options, hit submit....nothing. Form doesn't work

So I email them. The affiliate manager gets back to me & says there's nothing they can do about the wire fees on my end (DUH!) but they do offer Paypay & Paxum. Great. So I go signup...

2nd problem: Every field on their signup for is required, even AIM, which I don't have, and 2nd Address, which I don't need

So I "None" those fields, as well as all the fields for my bank & wire info & submit it. I get the activation email, click the link, and get put in the ever popular "Waiting Approval" status.

3rd Problem: The affiliate manager gets back to me & wants to know where I heard of them, what sites I run, what I need from them as far as banners, pics/vids, etc. So I tell them I read about them in AVN, I run LOR, I have 50 or so other domains/TGP's...nothing like jumping thru hoops to promote a program

4th Problem: I shit you not, this is his exact reply:

This is where I kinda lost it. Here's my reply to that email:

I don't have photos on my sites. They are TGP's - Thumbnail Gallery Posts. TGP's link to hosted galleries that you, the affiliate program, provide. If you don't know what that means, you honestly have no business approving webmasters to promote your program. I've been doing this for 20 years - I'm in the AVN Hall Of Fame Internet Founders Branch - this approval process where I have to explain to you the concept of a 20 year old website is just stupid.

Nevermind - I'll send my traffic elsewhere.

This is unfortunately becoming the norm. The only thing these guys know about managing affiliate programs is uploading clips to tube sites.

Yep. I have had a couple of programs lately where I have had to explain the need for either FHGs or the materials to make my own. Sad... very sad.

We live in an age where even the affiliate "managers" expect the porn to be handed to them on a platter. How can one surf the LOR and not figure out how you move traffic?

One of the better known and rated lesbian sites moved to one of these mega-platforms recently. Their old banners no longer work, and there are no more FHGs. I've promoted them from day one, so I go looking for new ones. The only ones they have are generic - for all of their programs. This means on a lesbian site, I will have gays, guys banging teens, MILFs banging young guys - just about everything BUT lesbians. I contacted my rep and explained the need for cock-free banners and gave her the sizes. She sends me back the same exact iframe from their site - no customization. I messaged her a thanks, and asked her if she thought it was appropriate to have hardcore heterosexual acts or gay sex on a lesbian site. I have yet to hear back from her. Affiliates do not matter anymore. Sad, but I deleted the 400 or so galleries I had from them and pulled all banners - across the network. (Maybe she doesn't know what a lesbian is?)

Other than Yannick there they go through staff like crazy. Porndoe is a tube site and their premium section is their own pay sites, it's a good concept but an affiliate manager should have "some" experience in the business and not be someone's nephew who needed a job.
