Not blind but hazy links
This may have been posted before but the search function is acting screwy so please don't flame me too much.
I use an ad server to rotate banners on my free sites. Because the ad server is on a different domain I think that it is scaring off people from clicking on the banners because the status bar gives them the domain of my ad server not the site they are going to. I would like to change the status bar message with java script so it will accurately represent the final destination of the link not the ad server that is in the middle. Would this be an acceptable use of java. I figure I could put a detailed description/ heads-up, into the comments section so link list owners know that my links are not blind, just a little hazy. What are your thoughts on this idea? -Altheon |

i believe most linklist owners accept that. i've used mouseovers like that since day one with my freesites. I don't recall ever being rejected for that reason.

Yeah - as long as the mouseover is the site you're promoting - like http://www.cybererotica.com/ - then you'll be safe at most places.
