PenisBot & Wetplace: New rule

Reciprocal number restrictions
-----------------------------------

Many link sites order webmasters to use reciprocal links (looking like link-farms) with 4 or even more links leading to the link site. We stand against those starwars and will not accept submissions that have more than 2 (two) different links per reciprocal block. Examples:

absolutelyfreeporn.net (10 links)
onlybestsex.com (4 links)

Read this topic, this is our future if it couldn't stop:

Good idea, I think I will drop mine to 2 I did have 3 on red cherry, I'm going to delete the 3rd now. Don't want that happening to me either. :(

Pedronas 2005-10-07 12:40 PM

I agree of course

kit 2005-10-07 12:43 PM

Thank you Virginia!
I'm very serious about http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum30/30575.htm
It can happen with us if we couldn't stop linkfarming process.

You don't have to convince me, I'm the person who made a page interlinking all my sites, and putting it on every domain I owned. (this was 4 years ago) and watched about 75% of my domains get banned off google overnight.

Some came back, others never did. Anything that looks iffy now, I will RUN to change it.

SI 2005-10-07 12:49 PM

Good move kit. Someone of the big guys should try to stop this link-farm madness and you the first one. I think this effort will end in success if another big and not so big owners will do the same. Owners and webmasters, everyone will wins on it.

Greenguy 2005-10-07 12:49 PM

kit - any chance you can just post the info instead of links to a paid members board?

RedCherry 2005-10-07 12:52 PM

in a nutshell a lot of directories got banned off google, these are non-adult webmasters, and some had sites that had been directories for years, and watched their sites get dropped.

I've been a member of that board for years, I just read the first few pages, but that is the short one, hopefully Kit will post more up on the details.

Greenguy 2005-10-07 12:55 PM

RedCherry - I like ya, you have a lot of potential as far as being one of the good people on this board.
Please, for the love of |buddy| clean up your sig file :D

Hmmm, that's the second time I've seen you reply that you can't see the thread, weird thing is I can read it just fine and I'm not a member? Not that I have the time to read a 58 page thread dating back to July 28th mind you. ;)

What is wrong with it? I need to read more carefully. :(

Greenguy 2005-10-07 12:59 PM

MML gave me his un/pw - 59 pages my ass.

If someone can just quote from where the Google employee posted, then that's all the info I'd need |thumb

Keep it 80 or under (you were well over 100 the last 2 times)

mb 2005-10-07 01:00 PM

I agree with this 100% and will begin declining all free sites that list a recip that has more than two links on it.

Thanks for posting this, Kit.

RedCherry 2005-10-07 01:02 PM

Is this better?

Greenguy 2005-10-07 01:04 PM

Much better - thank you :)

kit 2005-10-07 01:07 PM

WebmasterWorld have only one forum for paid members, it's a "Supporters forum".
This thread posted in public accessed area:
http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum30/30575.htm
and counts over 20 pages. I juct can't post it all here ;-)

In short: Google start to penalize directories using overoprimization or reciprocal tricks. Also they implemented content duplicate filters and it's also against directories.

Yahook 2005-10-07 01:12 PM

I agree with you Kit. I can add - I will not accept sites which contains too big recip links.

Yahook 2005-10-07 01:21 PM

For those who doesn't know what linklists I have ;)

My linklists are:

http://www.hqpornlinks.com/
http://www.fuckingbeaver.com/

Also I reanimated my old linklist http://www.teensex4you.com/

And I have some small linklists - about 4, I will not post urls now ;)

Got a reply from G-support--
"Thank you for your note. We understand that you're concerned about your site, www.------.com. Unfortunately, we are unable to send personal responses to all of the requests we receive to review individual website content.

Certain actions such as buying or selling links to increase a site's PageRank value or cloaking - writing text in such a way that it can be seen by search engines but not by users - can result in penalization. Please review our quality guidelines at http:// www. google .com/webmasters/ guidelines.html for more information. If you identify problems with your website and make the changes necessary to comply with these guidelines, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We are sorry that we cannot provide individual assistance at this time.

The Google Team"

My site was not a directory. It *was* the recipient of a site wide link on another banned site. Perhaps the filter penalized both the "sellers" of links and the "buyers" of same. In my case, these were two sites I owned each with unrelated, non-duplicate content, so it was natural to link from one site to the other. No links were bought or sold (sic)
Here was one post on that thread that someone got a reply from google. FYI

How big is too big?

This is one of the reasons I think it would be great if every linklist could standardize the size of their recips. Like if everyone agreed on 150x70 or something. It would make the recip tables look so much nicer.

I know it's a pipe dream, but a boy has to have his dreams... |monkey

Thats why I don't care if people change my links to match the site, and make all the other links for the other sites the same way. |thumb

I just closed my submits until I can re-do all my recip tables, hopefully will have them back open by this evening.

|bow| http://www.hqpornlinks.com/ I love your link list, I get a lot of traffic. :) I didn't know about the others, will add them to my list. |bananna|

MrYum 2005-10-07 02:39 PM

Agreed...two recip links max here too |thumb

I've run across a few lists that were requiring more than two links. Think I only kept a couple of them on my submit list because the owners are friends. Hopefully, all will see this thread and adjust as necessary.

RawAlex 2005-10-07 02:46 PM

findpics.net - exactly two links in a small box. :)

I have a real thing for scrolling marquee stuff... I see those and I want to run away. :)

This should be a note to all link sites: Be tolerant of return links created by end users. You don't want all your return links to be EXACTLY as you dictate, as it really isn't doing you any good. I have never objected to a well crafted and neat return link table for my sites.

Alex

Iceworld 2005-10-07 02:46 PM

I agree too

PR_Tom 2005-10-07 03:05 PM

2 seems more than enough really :) Main site & relevant category page.

Leon 2005-10-07 03:25 PM

hmm sounds like i should go and change my recips

Sexvilly 2005-10-07 03:27 PM

very nice kit,

i declined every free site with such recips even before seeing your post.. it's like some ll owners going to fuck others.. no good, no good..

RedCherry,

check PM, pls

Magnoody 2005-10-07 04:04 PM

Agreed |thumb

One more thing is that LL owners should accept custom text recips as I think Google will start seeing those ready made recips as spamming and penalize both fs builders and LL owners. |dizzy|
Custom recips means backlinks with different keywords. |jackinthe

And yes,I know that PenisBot and WetPlace accepts custom recips ;)

I agree I just added a big
We encourage you can change anchor text, as long as it is still relavant to the category you are submitting to.

on my banner page I'm re-doing after seeing your post.

Yahook 2005-10-07 04:32 PM

Thanks RedCherry ;)

It's nice to hear good words about my linklist. I post here rarely because of small ammount of free time, but you can always find me on my message board if you have any questions for me ;)

JoeBlack 2005-10-07 05:09 PM

I agree with rule as well but I will allow 3 links do to the fact that some LLs link to there main page and index page because they link mainly from there main page. So a index link, a main page link where content is and a category link is fine for me. Anymore than that will not be accepted by me.

[MyThoughts]
Google penalizes a site if it is getting links with the same anchor when they exceed certain numbers(ex. 100).
Google removes the penalties when the links exceed a certain number (ex. 10,000)
Google changed those numbers lately and this is why directories are dropping like flies.

MeatPounder 2005-10-07 05:46 PM

:( So soo after Emerald just changed her recips at Smut Gremlins and now we cannot submit to Wet Place and PenisBot in the same recip table as Smut Gremlins :(

Well Both PenisBot and Wetplace send fantastic traffic, and SmutGremlins traffic is gold So I guess I just have to rearrange my tables again ...Have to really study the code on these prebuilt recips...

Leon 2005-10-07 07:09 PM

OnlyBestSex has changed the recips from 4 to the standart 2 links
my apologies if it costed any inconvenience for other webmasters, pelase remove from your black list,i am a good guy :)
