Torn, there is no "feline leash law" in FL. Actually the opposite had been settled in the courts awhile ago (thanks to the condo commandos). The only place I've ever seen cats on a leash was in Vegas w/ Sigfried & Roy. And we all know how that worked out. The people working the McDonald's drive-thru are smarter than AC Dispatchers. Registering your cats? A money making ploy for non-porn civilians and their governments. Shots for your cats? Well, it's a good idea.
At least your not out in Cali. When my former neighbor moved there, he got told that if he wanted to let his cat out, it had to be declawed. Why? It might hurt or injure one of the protected mountain lions in his area. "Fats" stays inside.
