I did, and while I made good money back then, the income I received from building free sites for sponsors was GREAT, and the expenses were much less. Back then content and BW was EXTREMELY expensive.
I remember getting 14 sign ups in one week for Danni's Harddrive with only about 10 free sites promoting it. Now I have about 20 sites promoting Danni's and haven't getten a single sign up in six months.
I remember the days when a Score sign up meant income for six months or more. The recurring income was GREAT. Now it's one month and they quit (and sometimes they charge back).
This has been really frustrating. Sometimes I feel like if I got a sign up it would die of loneliness. If I had continued to build, submit, and forget like I was taught, I would probably be very wealth today. Unfortunately, I have fallen on some hard times and recently had quadruple bypass and am not yet strong enough to resume a real job yet.
In the words of Brad Arnold, who said it in a 3 doors down song, "I hope that it gets better as we go."
