The advantage to a niche link list is there is waaaaaaaaaaay less to compete with. If you submit a pornstar site to a pornstar link list then you will normally get much more exposure as compared to be listed on the new page of a general link list with 25 categories. The surfer may never find your site. Or the surfer will check it out even though they have no interest in pornstars for example because the Site Title looked cool.
