![]() Good Friday My Peeps!
![]() Another night where I slept 12 hours & feel like I could go back to bed ![]() My chiropractor hurt me yesterday - not so much when I was on the table, but as soon as I left, I could really feel it. Hurt the rest of the night & still sorta hurts now, but that's good...right? I also watched the movie Sixteen Candles for the 1st time in about 25 years yesterday & I have to say that the Long Duck Dong scenes are still fucking hilarious! |

Good Morning
![]() Well the AC bid was postponed till next week as the guy showing up was running really late from the appointment before ours. This is actually OK because we are now thinking about using that money to replace more windows and just getting a second portable AC unit to move around the house as needed. Damn decisions and I know whichever one we go with we will probably wish we went the other way. Taking a couple of days off from the house and working on biz stuff and other odds and ends. Better get to it so enjoy your Friday! |

I wish that I could get 12 hours of sleep. My Air BnB guest didn't arrive until after midnight and then early this morning clients started calling me.
The guy that was taken away in an ambulance last night was back at the pub drinking and smoking last night. When asked what happened he said that he had another minor heart attack. WTF. Doing Foxy's updates and then just my usual day of work and errands planned. |

Good morning and TGIF
![]() I feel like life is passing me by sometimes. Seriously, it is suppose to be beautiful out today, mid 80s but tomorrow and Sunday the temps above 30 celcius, 90 degrees F, and we have SHIT to do lol. No plans, no cottage, friends I hang out with are doing a high school reunion thingy at a cottage tomorrow for the day and night, perfect weather for it! Wish my wife was a camping kind of girl, she's too fucking prissy for that. With this weather I'd be more than happy blowing $40 on a camp site and pitching the tent, just to get away, have some drinks a camp fire etc but she's so not into that lol. I must say I do miss my house now and the 2 acres and the inground pool. (I do not miss the cost one fucking bit though hahaha) Quote:

Ramster, I have to agree with your lovely wife on this one. My idea of roughing-it is a motel without a broadband connection.

I haven't camped for decades. About four years ago a national paper did an offer, collect the tokens and you can book into one of several camp sites for £1 (~$1.50) per night. I collected the tokens and was about to buy camping gear when I thought "Hold on, I'm older now and can afford a hotel. I don't think I want to camp."
A few months later, near the end of summer, I was visiting my dad, and we missed a turning on a road where you could not safely do a U turn. So we drove into a campsite to turn round. I looked across the tents and really regretted my decision. Every year since, I have told myself that this year I'll get some cheap camping equipment and go away for a week, or a few weekends. But I never do. I'm thinking it now. "This Summer I must go camping." But if this topic comes up again in the Fall, I'll almost certainly post that I didn't get round to it. And as my health is getting worse, this may be the last year I am fit enough to camp. |

At his age, already having heart attacks is a big, life threatening thing. And I can tell you, from experience, that having such a big health worry leaves you with two choices. You can either take it stoically, shrug and say "Well I could have just died, but I didn't, so I guess I'll just carry on as normal until the one that finally does for me." Or you can spend what time you have left sitting in the corner crying. I would guess your friend is taking the more sensible option.
