Freesite vs Tgp Galleries

I'm a noob in the biz so bare with me hehe = )

I was wondering if freesite converts better then normal tgp galleries, and how much traffic I can get for freesite. Are freesite as big as tgp galleries?? Where can i submit freesite to??

I find I get better conversions from free sites.

As to where to submit to, I built my list by going to Greenguy and the other big link list sites and going through their listed sites seeing what other link lists recips were used on these sites.

It's a matter of quality over quantity.

Freesites are a good long term traffic source which is generally higher quality than tgp traffic but the quantity received is less.

Galleries listed on the right tgps will get pounded with traffic unfortunately conversions are normally quite poor.

1. Gets Quality Targeted Traffic (Search Engines)
2. More Chances To Sell The Surfer With 4 Pages
3. Better Conversion Ratio
4. Lower Bandwidth Bill For Better Results.
5. Long Term Traffic

tgp
1. Usually Trade Script Traffic From Circle Jerk Site
2. 1 Page Ad Which Is Easier For The Surfer To Get Off And Go To The Next Gallery
3. Lower Conversion Ratio Do To Poor Traffic Sources
4. High Bandwidth Bill For Less Results
5. Mostly Only List You The First 2 To 3 Days

In my opinion I think that free sites is the best way to go for a newb just starting out in the business because you don't have the skills yet for tgp. You have to understand traffic and how to convert that traffic first before you jump in with tgp galleries. I have seen many people start with tgp galleries and lose there shirts with higher bandwidth bills than they are making sales. Now this is not to say all tgps are bad because some do quite well on them, but for a newbie I would say free sites is the way to go.

If I have missed anything one of the more experienced webmasters will add to what I have said.

You can make money with both but there are a few issues.

If you are new to the biz definitely make free sites over galleries. You'll want to learn how to sell on your pages, using text and layout. Plus free sites are easy to make and if you follow the rules you will get listed a very high percentage of the time. With tgp galleries, being new, you'll be lucky to get listed half the time.

The key to tgp galleries is having a good hosting plan like a server that goes at 10mbs so the bandwidth cost really isn't an issue as you are paying a set monthly fee for your server. Most newbies are not going to commit to that yet and I don't blame you. Pick up a basic hosting plan for now and do free sites.

I do both. I pretty much just use the same pics/design/layout for both so it is very little extra work to do both.

Yeah conversions are much better for me off of my free sites but I do a lot more TGPing.

There is money to be made these ways, but they both need skill and experience, and in the case of a paysite a lot of investment. Leave these until you know a lot about this business (and in the case of a paysite, some spare cash to risk).

Yeah that is a good suggestion, I often sling together two or three old TGP galleries, give 'em a menu page and a warning page, then call it a free site. Presto a free site created in under ten minutes and without even using any of my "instant creation" Perl scripts to make them.

YES, I agree! Paysites are the way to go. Head over to the adult section of eBay. You can pick up a couple of CDs of ripped content for $5-10. (You'll need to crop out all those damned copyrights)Find a nice 404ing free host, a solid free template (or just copy the source code of this site,but don't hotlink the images), and away you go.

Yeah, i agree. the key is "work smart, not hard" You can make freesites (it's good to begin) then use gallery pages from one freesite (let me said: 3 gallery page per freesite) and make them three tgp gallery (not too much work like Cleo said) and third (that's what i do) just make new index to freesite and use it as a AVS

see? one freesite and so much good

ps: AVS and freesite use the same gallery pages which is even better than tgp gallery (which must be redesigned a little - recips etc...)
