Who to submit to?

Hello, I am about to take the plunge and start submitting sites to some LL's. My question is, should I just be grabbing a handfull of LL's and try to submit to them? I have read a few threads on submitting and it seems like "just submit and see how to traffic is". I realize that is something that I will be doing....later. But for now, I guess just submit and see what happens?

Also, I know there seems to be different opinions on this, but I was thinking as a good number to start with is 8-12 LL's. Sounds safe till I know what the hell I am doing LOL.

Just wondering if that is what most people would recommend.|confused|
