Link Exchange Script ok for SE?

I do hard link exchanges on indivdual pages-categories, if you will- and it's getting to be a pain to do them by hand as the pages increase.

I never wanted to put my links in a script, as I like offering hard links, but now I'm thinking about it. My question is, if I use a script that displays the links as <a href="link">Link</a>, does it have the same value as if I did it by hand? I don't want to lessen the SEO value to the people I link to.
One that I'm looking at is Link Daemon.
Any input would be great, thanks.
