Duplicate content and Jays XXX Links

Question 1:

Im wondering if submitting to 100 link lists has any adverse effects on my search engine listings. I mean, if I have 6 different versions of each freesite (mirrors) do search engines penalize me or flag me for duplicate content? Is it better to submit just 1 freesite to 12-16 different link lists or is it better to submit to every link list I can find? I dont know how search engines work so if you know please shed some light on this for me.

Question 2:

Ive been submitting to Jays XXX Links lately (thanks for listing me Jay) and using around 30 pictures per freesite. Its very hard to pick 30 pictures from a single set of content and leave the surfer wanting more. My idea is using 2 different content sets, 15 or so pictures per gallery, on each freesite. This way I dont give away the farm all in one shot and it also doubles my chances of hitting on something that really turns the surfer on. Do you think this is a good idea or a bad one?

Anyone have opinions on these two subjects?
